Our Vacation Adventure Part 1

The first day of our trip started off so badly. I was in a terrible mood...I had so much to do and the kids would not listen and I felt like Steven wasn't pitching in enough. I felt like I had PMS x100. We finally got on the road around 11:30 am. The trip started off okay....Emily fell asleep as planned and Matthew was happy as a clam with his headphones on watching toon-toons. We made the mistake of stopping about an hour south in Hattiesburg to eat. Don't get me wrong, the food was great and everything. However, Emily of course, woke up to eat. No problem, right? She'd just go back to sleep when we got in the car. Wrong!! She fussed on and off the entire trip down there. I felt my sanity slowly slipping away.

The sanity started to come back the closer we got to the beach. My dad and Beth came down on Thursday to get the condo ready for us. They even bought a portable crib for Emily to sleep in and a movie for the kids to watch. The crib came in so handy and I was so appreciative of that. Anyway, they stayed to see us before they headed back to Madison.

After they left, we unpacked and decided to head to Wal-mart to do our grocery shopping. We were all so tired and hungry that we rushed through Wal-mart so we could get back to the condo and eat. I picked up to nets for the kids to catch crabs and stuff with because the sign said $.45. I got to the register and the sign said $3.43. What?!? No! I told her the corrected price and she called someone to go check. He came back and said they were $3.43. Being just like my mom, I told him no and that I was going to go back there and check myself. I walked all the way back there, saw the sign, walked all the way back to the front, told the guy to come see, walked all the way back to the back, where we found the 3 that had fallen into the basket. I felt like such an idiot, but still think he should have given me that price, but whatever. I had to get the nets anyway because Matt was so excited about his and had carried it throughout the entire store.

After we left Wal-mart, we headed back to the condo. We were overly tired and overly hungry and, of course, Emily cried the whole way! We got home, ate corndogs and went to bed.

I feel so incredibly blessed to be here with my family. It seems like yesterday when we used to come here for a week every now and then when I was little.

Hopefully when I post tomorrow, I will have pictures. Yesterday was too crazy of a day to even think of taking pictures.
